Porch (“we”, “us”, the “app”) is a daily stoic wisdom app with cinematic narration. We believe in collecting as little as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and an email address (which may be Apple’s private relay address if you choose to hide it), along with a unique user identifier. We use this only to create and maintain your account.
- Your reflections. If you write entries in the reflection journal, those entries are saved to your account so they persist and stay in sync across your sessions.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing activity.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app contains no third-party ad networks and no cross-app tracking.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
Data stored on your device
Your streak, saved favourites, and chosen daily-reminder time are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us. Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
Service providers
- Apple — Sign in with Apple. Handles authentication. See Apple’s privacy policy.
- Supabase. Provides our secure database, authentication, and storage for narration audio. Your account information and reflections are stored here. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Data retention & your choices
- You can sign out at any time from the Profile screen.
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time — from the Profile screen (Delete Account) or by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your account information and reflections from our systems.
Children
Porch is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
